I am excited to announce that I have been invited to join Marilyn Burkhardt as a partner in her new gallery in Cloverdale, Oregon.
BURKHARDT GALLERY, 34395 Hwy 101 South in Cloverdale ~ On the corner of Bridge Street and Hwy 101. You can’t miss it because of the 8-foot high by 30-foot long mural on the west side of the building.
In addition to Marilyn’s work—paintings, prints, sculptures and ceramic tiles—I will be displaying my graphite and colored pencil renderings.
Our work shares a common theme—love and respect for animals and nature. Marilyn has a clay studio in the rear of the building where she creates ceramic tiles, while I will be working on various projects, including my stained glass kaleidoscopes, in a space off the main gallery.
Classes and weekend workshops are planned and will be announced as they develop. Also planned is an “open studio” day on which artists can get together, work on their own projects, and share ideas. Marilyn believes “working with other artists generates a creative energy that is worth exploring.”
For information on classes and events contact Burkhardt Gallery 503-392-3175. We are open from 11:00 to 5:00 Friday to Sunday, and by appointment.
HERE’S WHAT’S NEW:
Saving Time is the focus this month on the Pencil Art Society’s “PAS-sing Glance”! This thought-provoking article is very well written by PAS board member, Erica Walker.
